All mare owners are welcome. Parades start at 11am.

Slipper Boost for Soldier's Tale

Swettenham Stud's exciting young Stravinsky sire Soldier's Tale received another significant boost when outstanding juvenile Phelan Ready romped home to win $3.5 million Golden Slipper Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill on Saturday.

A member of the Bruce and Jason McLachlan stable, Phelan Ready came from last on the turn to sweep to the front at the furlong pole and race clear to win by over two lengths.

It was a truly dominant performance from the youngster, who in January stormed home down the outside of the field to win the $2 million Magic Millions 2YO Classic on the Gold Coast.

Phelan Ready is the first runner and second foal for the Group winning Blevic mare Nancy Eleanor - a mare served last October by Soldier's Tale.

The mare, who is back in the hands of her original owners and managed by Terry Broad, was a top racemare in her own right, headlined by her victory in the Group 3 Adelaide Guineas with Phillip Stokes.

Nancy Eleanor was one of 95 quality mares covered by Soldier's Tale in his initial season at stud.
