Four of Swettenham Stud's leading stallions have begun the 2009-10 season with a bang both in Australia and overseas. Bianconi, Hold That Tiger, Dash For Cash and Court Of Jewels have all shown a significant increase in the number of wins when compared to the same period last season which all bodes well in the lead up to the 2010 yearling sales.
Bianconi has proven his consistenency as a sire. Last season he had 44 winners in both hemispheres in the span of only four months. This season he has improved on this number and sent 55 winners to Australian and overseas tracks. August in particular shows a dramatic increase in winners from 10 in 2008/2009 to 17 in 2009/2010 breeding season. In both October and November 28 sons and daughters of Bianconi crossed the line first in Australia. Rain Shadow, Roof Raiser and Kelconi are some of the recent winners to mention. Bertonic, a promising city-class runner, will make his return to the track shortly and is sure to fly his sire's flag.  Bianconi Winners Comparison Numbers cannot get more impressive when it comes to Hold That Tiger. Between August and November 2009 his offspring collected 58 individual wins. The chestnut stallion is enjoying great popularity with breeders overseas, but is making ground in Australia. 22 winners overall in August 2009 alone are laying claim to his success. There has also been black type success for Hold That Tiger. The filly Coy Cat, out of Shy Solana by Tank's Prospect, made it five wins out of 22 career starts by saluting in the Turfway Park Holiday Inaugural Stakes (Listed) on the all weather track on November 29, 2009.  Hold That Tiger Winners Comparison Bank Robber, the most prominent son of Swettenham's flagship stallion Dash For Cash, has put in a brave run behind sprinting star All Silent on the last day of the Flemington Carnival. The underrated gelding is a prime example of his sire's ongoing success. The magnificent grey has sent 30 winners to the track between August and November 2008 in Australia and overseas combined. Also in 2009 he has not disappointed breeders by again siring 33 individual winners in the same four month period. The majority of these has been saluting on Australian tracks.  Dash For Cash Winners Comparison Breeders to Court of Jewels are continuing to reap the rewards this season. From August to November 2009 the stallion has had 11 winners on the track, a significant growth from the 3 winners in the same period last year. It proves that his offspring becomes more competitive as they mature and start to run over longer distances. Court Of Jewels is a close relation to Commands, but standing at only $4400 he provides great value for breeders in Victoria, who have the patience to wait for a stayer with great conformation.
