The time is ripe to make some generalizations about Court of Jewels particularly at this time in his career with his oldest 3YO’s. His service fee has been very competitive for some years now. As a result one would say that he has not served really quality books of mares. However, the mares served are owned by people who have thought highly enough of them to invest their money into the breeding scene to breed a Court Of Jewels to race (as opposed to breed one for a yearling sale ring).

Therefore, the one intangible that he has going for him is that while the mares may not have been extraordinary in ability and pedigree; they were much revered by their owners, because they endeared themselves to the owners by being consistent and courageous in their races. Incredibly, this aspect is coming through in his race results to-date.

Generally, they seem very consistent. Possibly the better ones have been a length off being really good horses. They also want to get to the line, hence they have done a bit better over a little bit further where they can stalk the pace. In general they have done much better on the bigger tracks, which give them a little bit more time to balance up for the run home. In summary he is poised to have a really good galloper emerge sooner rather than later.

Presently he sits in 18th place in the top 30 second season sires for Australia and New ZealandAustralia and New Zealand combined is Thorn Park by winners to runners. Leading the way in with 51.4%, Lonhro is third with 50% and Court Of Jewels is just behind some superstars with 30.4%:
